A place to find Communion, Compassion and Community

Our History

Since 1844 our congregation has been a vital witness for Christ in Collierville, Tennessee (just east of Memphis). However, our commitment is much larger than a single community. We have a great heart which reaches out to serve and heal wherever Christ's touch is needed around the globe.

We are people of the Book. Our church school curriculum, fellowship groups and congregational life center on the life and work of the New Testament community of faith.

We are people of the Table. Each Sunday we share in the celebration of The Lord's Supper. We celebrate the Service of Holy Baptism by immersion. Christian worship is the focal point of our total church life. All believers in Christ are welcome to participate.

We are people with a Mission. We take seriously Jesus' words of the prophet in Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon us because he has anointed us to preach good news to the poor, release to the captive, sight to the blind, and liberty to the oppressed." We are concerned about justice, peace, food and homes for the poor and hope for the hopeless.
