Mission and Outreach are an important part of our ministry with opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others globally, regionally and locally. Here are a few examples of the efforts supported by our members.
Locally we support the Collierville Food Pantry through food donations, holiday baskets and fresh produce grown in our Victory Garden on the church grounds. We also have a close partnership with Page Robbins Adult Day care donating goods and conducting fund raising throughout the year.
Regionally our youth support Manna House in Memphis with clothing donations collected from our local neighborhoods. Our members make Christmas special for children in need through their support of the Salvation Army Christmas Angel program. This fall we plan to participate in a Habitat for Humanity build and to assemble a Walk For The Cure team in honor of our members fighting cancer.
Our Global outreach includes purchasing farm animals for 3rd World families through Heifer International, assembling hygiene kits for earthquake victims in Haiti and creating Christmas shoeboxes for children around the globe. This summer global outreach will get more personal with a mission trip to Nicaragua scheduled.
