Collierville Christian Church has a number of music groups for those of you who like to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord."
Our Alleluia Choir is for children from kindergarden through 5th grade. The children sing hymns and anthems every week during choir and usually sing during church once a month. During choir, the children play games that help them learn to read music and gain knowledge about how music is used during worship. This choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the choir room.
Our Chancel Choir is for those who enjoy singing and are between the age of high school through post retirement. This choir sings every Sunday morning during the 11:00 service and they rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Southern Bells is our handbell choir. Membership is open to middle school students through post retirement age. The choir rehearses on Sunday evenings in the choir room at 6:00 p.m. and they ring during the service once a month.
Instrumental Ensembles play during the service a number of times each year. If you play an instrument and would like to play in an ensemble, let the church office know, and Sheryl will send you the music and rehearsal schedule. These groups rehearse on an as needed basis.
Other opportunities for using your musical talents during worship include singing solos or in small ensembles. There are also special services during the year where music plays an important role.
