DISCIPLES WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

Disciples Women’s Ministries (DWM) an organization of Christian women who come together in Bible Study and spiritual growth. It is an organization that oversees the needs of the church, community (local and state), as well as around the world. Fund-raisers are done throughout the year to earn money to meet these needs. We at Collierville Christian Church support Collierville Food Pantry, Heifer International, Cynthia Milk Fund, Collierville Literacy Council, just to name a few. As Disciples of Women’s Ministries, we create lasting friendships as well as support groups for each other.

SOS “Sisters of Spirit” Small Group

Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:20. SOS is a women’s bible study group. Our mission is to form and transform lives by meeting together in a small group setting where we can pray together, study the bible, engage in fellowship or plan and work on mission projects. We hold each other accountable and help each other grow spiritually as we study God’s Word and share our life’s stories. We attend out of town retreats where we can feed our souls and recharge our batteries. SOS meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in member’s homes in the Collierville, Germantown and east Memphis area. S.O.S., and other women of the church make 122 Hygiene Bags for Haiti.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our Prayer Shawl Ministry began in April 2008 and meets at the church one  Sunday each month following the 11:00AM service.  There is a brown bag lunch time followed by the meeting at 1:00PM in the Vander Bryan classroom.  In Disciples Women's Ministires we have created 37 shawls/lap rugs/baby blankets that have been delivered to members of our church family.
