Rev. Patt Hardaway, Senior Minister

Patt began her ministry here at CCC, Sept, 30, 2007. She was born and raised a Disciples of Christ. Patt served as an Associate Minister at Lindenwood Christian Church, her home church where she was ordained to ministry. Patt brings with her years of experience at both contemporary worship as well as traditional worship. Before being called to ministry she was VP of Creative Services at Motion Picture Laboratories in Memphis, for 20 years. She earned her BA in Communications from the University of Memphis and her Masters of Divinity degree at Memphis Theological Seminary.

Video editing was how she first communicated the gospel, as she produced and edited inspirational video’s and commercials for the church. Though she had a fear of public speaking her entire life, she was called to step out in faith and preach one Sunday when her Sr. Minister was called out of town. Her fears dissipated after she preached her first sermon. She was affirmed by her congregation to continue this new path of ministry that God was leading her on.

She has seen the difference a strong community life makes in her own life as well as others. She believes disciples are best made and cared for by being in a Small Group. She strives to help bring a deeper sense of community within the church, but also believes in the churches heart for outreach and mission.

Patt's husband Cris, of 28 years, is a producer/directer and host of many PBS TV shows and documentaries. Patt & Cris’ son Trevor is a Communications major at University of Memphis.
